WORKING HOLIDAY AGREEMENT WITH ISLANDIA
On June 24, Chilean Foreign Minister Alberto van Klaveren and Icelandic Foreign Minister Thórdis Kolbrún Reykfjörd Gylfadóttir signed a Working Holiday Memorandum of Understanding. Once the States have notified each other that the domestic requirements for its implementation have been met, the agreement can enter into force.
The importance of this type of agreement is that it strengthens existing bilateral relations between the countries and allows nationals between 18 and 30 years of age to be closer to the culture, society and language of each country.
Chile currently has 17 Working Holiday agreements in force and one Intern Exchange Agreement (Switzerland).
